Other Resources for Teachers

I've decided to include a page with links to other resources that I have made up myself - things like note naming pages, or worksheets.  Since much of this is not actually in the computer, I will be soon scanning my worksheets that I've made by hand and trying to organize them under different headings, making it easier for me to access them as well. If it is useful to you - great!  Enjoy.

Scale Sheets:

I am a great believer in including scales in the learning process.  I made up these scale sheets with the beginner in mind - with a keyboard included, but no fingering.  I just used different coloured markers to mark in the fingering.  Admittedly, it is a bit of work, but once each student has a scale sheet, there is no further work needed and no new sheets needed.  I use some plastic hole reinforcements and place them in their binder as a reference for them.  By the time we get to dominant and diminished 7th's, I just write them in as needed and give them general instructions for fingering.  I keep a file of sheets ready to go - and it has saved me many hours of work in the long run.  Minor scales do not have a keyboard on them, because there just was not enough room, and  I only included the harmonic and melodic forms and not the natural form.  These are individual downloads - so you can teach the scales in any order you wish.
